I totally resonate with all that you shared. It has been 12 years for me to slowly pair down. It really hit home last year going through Alyssa’s shoes that I decided to donate. Some of them the heels and soles cracked due to age and made with man made materials. I thought what a waste. The school certificates, still can’t widdle them down, at least all in one spot in a file cabinet.

It is a process. Currently I work part time helping seniors downsize, I see others struggle with this too. Now I work in small areas in my own house, not so overwhelming.

I feel my girl in rainbows, clouds, bees are her messengers. Material stuff is less important.

There are definitely things to keep. I can wear her 6th grade camp winter jacket, along with my son’s. Pays to buy quality. My grandmother sewed a wool shirt for my mom, I wore it in high school, Alyssa wore it too. Still have it, looks brand new.

So much for a quick reply… thank you for sharing Nicholas with us (my dad’s name too)

✨💙✨
