Welcome to Janine’s Journal Jam. An offering of journal prompts and the stories that spark them. May they inspire you to jam with your journal!
This is the last of a 5-part series inspired by the many paths I walk.
Part 1 of Gaining Clarity Through Journaling is Checking In.
Part 2 of Gaining Clarity Through Journaling is Recording Your Path.
Part 3 of Gaining Clarity Through Journaling is Clear Your Path.
Part 4 of Gaining Clarity Through Journaling is Imagine the Possibilities.
If you’re just finding Part 5, you may want to go back and journal the prompts from the last four parts. Of course you can begin exactly where you are, but they do build on one another.
Whenever I’m asked about why I journal, I share about getting clear, becoming self-aware, healing, and continuing to live my life in the way that serves me best and brings me the most joy.
Journaling clarifies what matters.
Yes, there’s work in writing it down, reflecting, reviewing, clearing out, bringing in, and sitting with your feelings. But that’s what makes it so transformational and intentional.
Journaling reflects back what matters and quite frankly what doesn’t.
So now that you’ve practiced checking in with your emotions, recording all your moments (tough and beautiful), clearing your path so that what you desire to be and do is apparent, and imagining all the wonderful possibilities of living the life that lifts you up and matters, what’s next?
Keeping Your Path Clear
Why?
Because as you know, life storms and debris end block your path so that your self-awareness gets a bit muddled.
Your journal practice gives you the techniques and space to continually clear what doesn’t serve you in order to bring in what does.
Maybe there’s one technique that really calls to you right now. That could be what you focus on.
I have shared what works for me.
You decide what works best for you. Maybe reading this gives you an idea on what you wish to journal about.
Maybe you write your mood of the day and that’s it!
It’s your journal practice and has to benefit you.
In order to keep your path clear, here are some prompts you can ask yourself and journal on:
Part 5: Keeping Your Path Clear
How do you feel about your path?
Where is it flowing?
Where is it stuck?
What’s working?
What needs to be cleared on another level?
Why and in what way?
How has your path shifted?
What’s up ahead?
What do you desire to focus on?
What will you carry with you on this path?
What will you leave behind?
What journal techniques supported you?
May your path be clear so that whatever serves you best is before you!
